Okay! So last night’s show at the Hawthorne Theater with The Chariot, Vanna, The Greenery, Former Thieves and Listener was a COMPLETE SUCCESS! And even if it wasn’t, it was still one of the most awesomest and humbling shows we’ve played thus far.
Both guitar players from The Chariot and one from Vanna all approached one of us at different times throughout the night to tell us that we totally killed it and that they appreciated our band. Never dreamed members from The Chariot and Vanna would be backstage watching US perform. It’s a dream come true and a total blessing to be able to share the stage with bands that influenced you the way they have - and totally humbling to be praised by them. Thank the Lord.
 

Thank you so much to all our Posse leaders that worked so hard to sell tickets for us - we sold ALL OF THEM. And I hope you all understand what that means for this band: it means more shows and better shows for all of us including YOU, so thank YOU for your help and to those who bought tickets from us! <3

Our next show is at The Branx with some good friends of ours in Hands For Battle! It’s about time we shared the stage with our brothers in this band. Be sure to grab a ticket from us for this show - we’d love to see you there too!
And wear the ugliest sweater you have of course!

A few nights ago the Rock Yourself To Sleep tour came through Portland and I saw a few different bands that had several T-Shirts marked at $20 a pop.
Ridiculous. 

Okay, so I know you won’t find any zombies, grim reapers, evil purple vampire octopuses, or any of that really cool elementary school cartoon garbage that’s so popular right now on our shirts. So because our tees won’t quite make you look as cool as the rest of the kids at the rock show, we’re only selling them for $12.
Does anyone remember when punk-rock and hardcore shows were for the misfits, the socially awkward, the angst-ridden, the uncool, those that just didn’t have that hip sense of fashion?

WE HAD A BLAST last night at Hawthorne Theater w/ our buddies in Get Scared, Girl On Fire and Elenora! Thanks everyone for getting tickets through us and coming out to see the show and hang out with us =)
 

Our official music video for “Burn Instead Of Beauty” is DONE and in our possession now, and we will release it when we reach 600 Facebook fans - so share our band page! www.facebook.com/reedsmill. Also keep an eye out for a pizza party to celebrate - everyone is welcome to come hang out with us and watch the first official showing of the music video. We’ll be posting up the event and spreading the word about it the same way we do shows.

Thanks to all of you in Vancouver that stuck around to watch us play last night at Oxfest! We really weren’t sure what to expect being not only the youngest, but the heaviest band on the bill - and playing dead last! But once we took the stage and got an incredibly humble introduction from Tony and such an amazing response from you all in the crowd - we had such an awesome time! And we can’t wait to play again next year!

We’re working on our website here. Notice the “Lyrics” tab is gone. You will find everything under the “MUSIC” tab now - click on the song you wanna hear, get lyrics to and/or read about and it’ll take you to its own home. Adjust your speakers immediately - the song will play automatically and I don’t want anyone spilling their coffee on themselves or waking up their parents in the middle of the night.

What’s up..

Summer is flying by, but a lot of good things are happening behind the scenes for us:

1. We are about to release the official video for “Burn Instead Of Beauty”, the second single off our Support Your Local Gunfighters EP. Jake, the producer has done an awesome job making us look cool and that song look good!

2. It seems that we’re about to embark on an awesome partnership with Stay True Apparel, a clothing company that we feel shares the same vision and attitude about life that we do. Remember what we’ve always stood for? We’re stoked to rock Stay True clothing.

3. Coming up in just a month is Oxfest, a huge local festival that we’re getting on. Last year Oxfest had an attendance of over 3,000 people! This will be an awesome experience and a great chance to meet and make a lot of new friends and hopefully sell a ton of merch!

Keep an eye out for upcoming shows, new merch, a music video, sponsorship deals and more! Also watch out for a couple Reeds Mill boys hanging out at Warped Tour on August 14th in Hillsboro - we’ll be roaming around looking for YOU!
